- Abstract
- For 3.5-inch and 5.0″ aircraft rocket and 5.0″ high velocity aircraft rocket (HVAR). About 4″ long. Brass and steel, with zinc alloy magazine. First fuze designed specifically for aircraft rockets, it was completely moisture proof. Development begun Nov., 1943; between March and June, 1944, 45,000 fuzes manufactured and loaded by Caltech for the navy. “A”: cutaway version, stamped CIT LW lot 8; “B”: stamped WSM lot 47.
